Lake Sentani Water Quality Index based on NSF-WQI as Raw Water for Drinking Water for Lake Sentani Coastal communities, Jayapura Regency

Lake Sentani has an area of ​​about 9,630 ha and is located at altitude 72 m above sea level. Residents who live on the shores lake, use lake water for bathing, washing latrine purposes. They also it as raw drinking a means transportation even throw household waste into water. There are 5 (five) rivers inlet, namely Hawaii, Yamolo, Klandeli, Dofroko Hobay there one estuary, Djaifuri River which in east (Puay area). This study aims to determine index each quality parameter total quality. The parameters studied were; DO, Fecal coliform, pH, BOD, Temperature, Total Sulfate, Nitrate-N, Turbidity Dissolved Solid (TDS). Sampling was carried out 3 (three) sample points (stations) mouth Haway (Ifale Sentani), middle (Ayapo Sentani) Upper Jaifuri Yoka). Determination Water Quality Index calculated using National Sanitation Foundation's (NSF-WQI) method both standard index. test results compared with Class 1 Standards Government Regulation Republic Indonesia Number 22 2021 concerning Implementation Environmental Protection Management. obtained from research stations turned that station 44.24 46.60 classified Bad (bad), 2 51.42 Medium (medium), while class 47.24 (poor) too.
